Attenuator and Mute - 0hp / 10hp 1U - Flatliner + Apnea - passive attenuator and linked performance mute
Attenuators? Yes. But not necessarily by expending 10hp in your 1U rail! Introducing the new 1U/0hp hybrid format from Herzlich Labs, bringing you choices you did not know you had.
Borrowing from the 1U format, this new line of 0hp (and of course also 1U) products seek to improve upon the 0hp formula in several ways. The products are first of all fully enclosed, eliminating the risk of shorting exposed pins to something important, as well as offering a more pleasant device to hold. The format also allows for larger knobs to improve control and precision in use, and can flexibility be integrated in large or small setups, or even expanded into larger rows of units.
The Flatliner + Apnea combines two popular 0hp modules from Herzlich Labs, and with a normalized connection between the two, allows you to use them both independently or linked together. Immediately inject performability and variability into your patches, for instance by attenuating modulation signals, and by turning on and off triggers, clocks and other signals at the click of a button. To utilize the normalization, simply patch only the attenuator input and the mute output.
Attenuators are key to creating subtle movements from wild LFOs, like the slight detuning of an unstable oscillator or flutter on a tape deck. The mute gives you instant performance options, and the switches are carefully selected for their quiet, smooth and tactile operation. The attenuator and mute work equally well with both audio and DC signals, and will prove useful in any setup.
